Current Moon Phase: New Moon
Create space for intention setting, because this is a potent time to do it; setting yourself up for more meaningful living. Intentions don't need to be complicated; they are simple ways you'd like to show up in the coming weeks. So grab your journal or a piece of paper, find a quiet space, perhaps find movement before you settle into stillness to jot down your new moon intentions. Each month/moon cycle provides an opportunity to reflect, adjust course, and start anew. How great is that?
- What 'seeds'/ideas are you looking to plant and set into motion? - What do you need to let go of, in order to make space for what's coming? - What are you learning to live without? - What are you grieving? - What are you longing for?
After answering all (or some) of these prompts, narrow them down to a few simple intentions to have by your bedside, or somewhere visible, so that you are reminded daily of daily life you want to live for this fresh moon cycle.
Your Yoga during the New Moon: Check out the short video for Quick Shoulder Release below, in the 'Current Suggested Practice' section. We really loved playing with this in our last 2 week online gathering and it'd be the perfect way to release some tension (leaving you feeling more clear and focused) before taking a seat to write your intentions for this new moon.

"I may not have gotten to the mat every day, but I must say, the '14 Days of Yoga Moments' have an accumulative effect. I see the benefits increase as I do more and more of these monthly 14 days together. I honestly rely on them to serve as a reminder that I need to take moments for myself. BUT, the weeks where I'm not in the '14 days', I see myself being more aware of my breath and my thoughts and this is HUGE for me." -K.F., Fredericton, NB
